The Melocactus maxonii var. inermis is a rare and elegant cactus species that immediately catches the eye with its smooth, spineless surface and its compact, spherical growth habit. Unlike most Melocactus species, this variety has no spines, giving it a strikingly refined, almost glossy appearance.
